Description

Vitamins B1/B6 Whole Blood Calibration Standard, lyophilised

This lyophilised calibrator from Chromsystems is based on human whole blood and should be used according to the instruction manual. It is designed to calibrate the measurement method in clinical diagnostics for the quantitative determination of vitamin B1 and vitamin B6 (Pyridoxal-5-phosphate; Pyridoxal) in whole blood. While following the instructions the calibrator should be handled and measured in the same manner as a patient specimen.

Reconstitution

Remove the rubber stopper from the vial. Add exactly 0.5 ml of distilled water into the vial. Replace the stopper and allow to sit for 10 to 15 minutes at room temperature. Swirl the vial to dissolve the contents until homogeneity.

Storage conditions

Stored below –18 °C unopened calibration standards are stable until the expiry date which is stated on the vial labels.
The reconstituted calibrators can be stored light protected and tightly capped for up to two days at +20 to +25 °C or up to four weeks at +2 to +8 °C. If the calibrators are not analysed within this period, they should be aliquoted and stored frozen below -18 °C (up to three month).
